MANGWE - MORE than 1 000 people thronged Sanzukwi Business Centre in Mangwe District on Saturday 26 December 2011 to attend a ZAPU rally addressed by party president, Dr Dumiso Dabengwa.
Speaking at a moving ceremony of the reburial of four Umkhonto Wesizwe fallen heroes, ZAPU elder Richard "Gedi" Dube called on MK and ZIPRA veterans associations to embark on joint programmes to find graves of fallen heroes of both former liberation armies in the Southern Africa region and hand their remains to the families for reburial with dignity. "There are many MK and ZIPRA soldiers lying in unmarked graves in Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, Angola, Zimbabwe and South Africa", said comrade Dube, a senior ZIPRA veteran himself.
On behalf of ZAPU and its entire leadership, I wish to express our profound gratitude to the South African Communist Party for the invitation to attend this great event, the 90th Anniversary of the SACP. The invitation is an inspiration to ZAPU and its entire membership in Zimbabwe and in the Diaspora.

Johannesburg, 08 May 2011. The ANC Youth League president, Julius Malema captivated his 5000 plus audience at a commemoration service in Alexandra Township, South Africa at which the ZAPU president, President Dumiso Dabengwa was invited as a VIP guest.
The President of the revived ZAPU, Dumiso Dabengwa, is the guest on Question Time. MORE than 500 Zapu members on Sunday packed Nkulumane Hall in Bulawayo to hear their leader Dumiso Dabengwa speak. Others listened from outside the hall due to shortage of space. Dabengwa told the enthusiastic crowd that Zapu’s mission goes beyond just removing President Mugabe and Zanu-PF from power.
