ZAPU president Dr. Dumiso Dabengwa will lead the delegation of senior party officials to the event. Names of other ZAPU delegates have been withheld in the meantime.
ZAPU is pleased that our sister liberation movement and real comrade in arms, the ANC invited us to their celebrations. It is such groundbreaking developments that prove that relations between ZAPU and ANC, cemented by blood during the liberation struggle, shall live forever.
Just last month, our armed wing during the liberation struggle, ZIPRA was invited and attended the ANC’s armed wing, MK’s 50th birthday celebrations. Within the same period, ZAPU invited both ANC and MK to our own 50th birthday celebrations on December 17 in Bulawayo, which they attended.
